This morning began with soft light and mountains all around us as we entered Bahia Concepcion, the largest natural bay within the Gulf of California. We explored around the bay and Isla Coyote in various ways, alternating between watching and photographing the birds from the Zodiacs, paddling around on kayaks and standup paddleboards, and enjoying the secluded beach surrounded by volcanic rock formations. Our afternoon was filled with our first snorkeling of the trip along with a little more beach time. The day ended with a dramatic show of light through the dining room windows as the sun set into the layered mountains of the Baja California peninsula.
