Our exploration continued to the central part of the archipelago as we arrived to Bartolome Island. An early morning hike to the summit of Bartolome allowed us to take in an incredible view of over twenty-five islands. After returning to the beach, we enjoyed swimming and snorkeling. The water was very inviting, with sea lions, sharks, and penguins swimming all around us.

In the afternoon, a short navigation brought us to Sombrero Chino, a satellite island of Santiago. This island looks deceptively desolate; however, it actually holds an abundance of life. During our Zodiac rides, we encountered a great deal of wildlife, with Galapagos penguins being the star of this theatrical presentation. A dark sky looms overhead as we return onboard our floating home, and the curtain falls upon this show that impresses all.
