Those who woke up early were able to watch as the National Geographic Sea Bird crossed over a submarine glacial moraine and into the Tracey Arm-Ford’s Terror Wilderness. The majority of us woke up as we were nearly insight of the magnificent Dawes glacier of Endicott Arm. The first half of the day consisted of expedition landing craft tours, where we witnessed some phenomenal glacial calving. The clouds draped over the granite peaks and the faint light made for incredible photography.

In the afternoon we cruised out of Endicott Arm and admired the scenery, eventually sailing into Stephens Passage where we were greeted by two large humpback whales that surfaced extremely close to the ship.
