Today was the first stop on the trip for National Geographic Endurance in the Canadian Arctic. The ship cleared into Canada from Alaska, and we all went ashore to explore. In the morning, local rangers and researchers showed us around the small settlement. In the afternoon, everyone went ashore to hike and photograph town. Some people had their first experience hiking across the tundra. It was a wonderful first day on land in the Canadian Arctic.
