Despite the fact that our morning plans changed several times before the end of breakfast, once we did get going, we really got going with hikes ashore at Idaho Inlet, as well as kayaking and standup paddleboarding throughout the morning. Immediately after lunch, a bevy of humpback whales near the mouth of the inlet called us out on deck.
In the afternoon, we boarded Zodiacs and toured the scenic Inian Islands between Icy Strait and Cross Sound. We encountered more humpback whales, Steller sea lions, bald eagles, and sea otters.
