One of the most incredible things about a true expedition is exploring new and wild places. We spent all of today at Bahia de Refugio on the northeastern tip of Isla Angel de la Guardia.

In the morning, we set out on hikes to take in the vistas, flora, and fauna of the desert island. In the afternoon, our Zodiacs and kayaks were a perfect platform for seeing what the marine ecosystem here has to offer. Sea lions and seabirds were present in large quantities, a highlight being a pair of peregrine falcons that circled the cliffs above. Our evening ended with cocktails on the beach and a bonfire, a wonderful end to a great day.
