This morning we woke up to an unusually warm day and after getting a close look of Kasnyku Falls from National Geographic Sea Lion the divers got an early start doing a spectacular dive at Round Rock while the guests enjoyed their breakfast. We saw many wonders, which include a lump suckers, basket stars, and nudibranchs.
After lunch, National Geographic Sea Lion went looking for marine wildlife and was lucky enough to run into humpback whales doing cooperative bubble net feeding and even breeching out of the water.
After such an amazing morning aboard National Geographic Sea Lion, we went to Sitkoh Bay where we offered hiking, stand-up paddleboarding as well as kayaking. Near the end of today’s operations, naturalist Steve Zeff spotted a mother bear and her two cubs across from the landing site. Today started amazing and ended just as equally. A day that seems like two here on National Geographic Sea Lion: What an amazing one it has been!
