Our night on the Pacific Ocean as we exited the protected waters of Magdalena Bay was a smooth and restful ride.  At first light we found ourselves at the tip of the Baja California peninsula, Friar’s Rocks.  As we photographed and savored the morning light on these rocks, the sound of barking California sea lions reverberated in the cool tropical morning air.  The town of San Jose del Cabo had much to offer in the later morning, birding walks, photo walks and a chance to see artisans at work in glass blowing.  The sea mount of Gorda Banks is an area of   gathering for humpback whales.  We found a number of whales breathing periodically at the surface before showing their great flukes in a sounding dive.  These images are a reflection of our day.
