The last day of our expedition was full excitement. One of the highlights of the journey was seeing coastal brown bears in their natural habitat. We visited Pavlof Harbor, located in Chichagof Island. Here, a waterfall that leads to a salmon stream is an ideal habitat for bears to feed at this time of the year. After a morning of bear watching, we headed out to Chatham Strait where we saw a number of humpback whales. Among the different sightings we were lucky enough to the unique bubble netting behavior of humpbacks whales!
