Today National Geographic Islander visited three sites on Santiago Island. There is a lot to explore, and we started the day with pre-breakfast outings. One option was to kayak along the coast, another was to have a relaxing walk along a soft-sand beach. Both choices were full of wildlife; blue-footed boobies and pelican birds were seen plunging close to the shore, as a rainbow shone in the background. What a perfect picture to take and remember forever.
Later, we took a Zodiac to Buccaneer's Cove for some snorkeling. Again, Galapagos was full of surprises. We were accompanied by cute sea lions swimming next to us and seabirds flying overhead looking for food. To close our day, we visited Puerto Egas for a sunset walk along the coast as baby sea lions were waiting for their mothers to return and nurse. We could not resist taking one more picture of these babies!
