This was our full last day in paradise and it was terrific! We visited one of the older islands of the Galapagos archipelago, San Cristobal. In the morning we enjoyed a great hike up to an eroded tuff cone with wonderful views and wildlife. We saw blue footed boobies nesting in the middle of the trail, red footed boobies nesting on the bushes, and frigate birds trying to recover from stealing. In the afternoon we went to a gorgeous beach known as Cerro Brujo. Here the organic white sand enhances the color of the surrounding turquoise waters. The solitude of the place is an inspiration for us humans to keep working on preserving the pristine places all around the world!
