At 5:00 a.m. in Santa Rosalia, our luxury coaches left for a 90-minute ride across the Baja peninsula to the town of San Ignacio. After transferring to a fleet of smaller vans and making a brief rest stop, we continued our journey to San Ignacio Lagoon for a day of whale watching with the gray whales! After a successful morning of close encounters with gray whale moms and calves, our boats brought us back to camp for a delicious lunch prepared by the amazing galley staff. Once we returned to San Ignacio to reboard the coaches, we made a quick stop in the town square for a few photos and a little shopping before heading back across the peninsula. We boarded National Geographic Venture and continued our journey south in the Gulf of California! What an amazing and productive day!
