The tracks in the sand were different this morning; they were the footprints left by a roadrunner as it scampered across the beach on the Baja California Peninsula. The peninsula offers much more flora and fauna than the islands of the Gulf of California. In the flat, calm waters at San Telmo, we kayaked, snorkeled, and enjoyed a bit of paddleboarding as well. In the afternoon, we cruised to Isla San Jose in time for a late afternoon walk up the shady arroyo. Our last day in Baja California gave us an opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of the Sonoran Desert, both by land and water.
