Our journey along the Galapagos took us today to Santa Cruz Island. In the morning, we visited one of the most emblematic places in the Galapagos: The Charles Darwin Station. Here, we learnt from the various conservation projects carried on by the Galapagos National Park and the support of many scientists from this research station. After this, we had a stop at a local school and a traditional farm. In the afternoon, we explored the highlands of Santa Cruz looking for the giant tortoises on their natural habitat. We were amazed by the size of these amazing creatures. It was great to share the whole day with these prehistorical looking giants!
