This Island is one of the best examples of restoration in the archipelago, thousands of feral pigs and goats were removed from Santiago Island. These animals destroyed the natural habitat for endemic and native species of this island.

Today we explore the island from sunrise to sunset at three different visitor sites.

In the morning we visited Espumilla beach which is one of the most important nesting grounds for Pacific green sea turtles. Soon they are going to start hatching after the nesting season ends. We continue in the morning to a historical place known as Buccaneers cove, one of the best sites for a Zodiac ride and snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding.

To end our successful day we visited Egas port which is also one of the best places to see the two species of endemic Galapagos sea lions and the best coastline for tidal pool exploration in Galapagos.
