The first day of our expedition started with an interesting walk along Sitkoh Bay. This long bay is located on Chichagof Island and our walk served as a great introduction to the Southeast Alaska temperate rain forest. The old logging road is surrounded by healthy forests and has plenty of evidence of recent bear activity.

We spent the morning hiking before we sailed to Takatz Bay which is located on the east side of Baranof Island. We were surrounded by a majestic landscape and enjoyed boat cruises, stand-up paddle boarding, and kayaking.
