We spent the final morning of our expedition at beautiful Kasnyku Falls, located on Baranof Island.

As we were departing, we spotted multiple whale spouts across Chatham Strait and so we set off to investigate. We were thrilled to encounter a group of bubble net-feeding humpback whales, cooperating, coordinating and communicating to consume as much food as possible.

After watching them for a while we cruised back to Takatz Bay on Baranof Island where we had the opportunity to explore the scenic fjord by expedition landing craft, kayak or paddleboard. We cruised in Chatham Strait in the afternoon and spent some time watching a group of lunge-feeding humpback whales. Later we found brown bears in Sitkoh Bay before transiting Peril strait and Sergius Narrows on our way to Sitka.
