We woke this morning onboard National Geographic Sea Bird to a stunning orange and pink sunrise. Today is Wrangell day! After breakfast our guests will be heading to shore on a variety of activities. From jet boating up the Stikine River (heading towards Chief Shakes Glacier seeking wildlife and adventure) to exploring the small town of Wrangell. Those not on the jet boats went to a Tlingit traditional “Big House” where they learned a lot about the First Nations people that have cared for these lands long before Europeans came. After our time in Wrangell, we pulled the anchor to our ship and started our way towards tomorrow’s adventures.
