Today is Wrangell Day! A favorite of guests and staff alike. This small town with a population of just under 2500 features an amazing museum, thrilling Petroglyph Beach, a stunning hike up Mount Dewey, and the garnets! Some guests started the morning with a jet boat cruise to a tidewater glacier called Shakes, while others visited the local clan’s longhouse for a cultural presentation from Tlingit elders and youngsters. After lunch guests had their choice of free time in town, a casual nature walk, a short but rigorous hike up Mount Dewey, and a visit to Petroglyph beach — or a combination of them all!
