This week's photos from the field included a pod of dolphins, a flamboyance of flamingos, and a herd of sea lions in the Galápagos Islands. In Costa Rica, our field staff captured a photo of a solitary baby sloth (though if there had been several, it would have been called—appropriately—a snuggle of sloths). What's a group of penguins called? It depends on what they're doing! A group of nesting penguins, like the ones seen here at Paulet Island, Antarctica, is called a huddle or a colony, but walking penguins are a waddle and swimming penguins are a raft. We have no idea if there's an official name for a group of kayaking guests, but we'd love to know. Get Inspired By Photos, Videos, Webinars, Stories, And Exclusive Offers. Sign Up
