Developed around an 8th century Benedictine monastery, Lucerne charms visitors with its medieval architecture, iconic covered bridge and picturesque lakeside views which you’ll experience on a guided tour. On a day-long visit to Interlaken and Grindelwald, witness more of the region’s breathtaking alpine scenery as you explore among the famed peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Day 1 - Lucerne, Switzerland

Arrive in Lucerne and check into Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora (or similar). Spend the remainder of the day on your own exploring this historic city or resting up after your travels.

Day 2 - Lucerne

Lucerne, a picturesque gem nestled between the serene Lake Lucerne and majestic surrounding mountains, offers a perfect blend of history, culture and breathtaking natural beauty. Set out on a guided walking tour that will take you to the city’s most iconic landmarks including Chapel Bridge and the colossal lion monument carved out of sandstone. Discover charming architecture, cultural treasures and awe-inspiring views of sights like Mount Pilatus before enjoying a local lunch. The afternoon is at your leisure, as well as dinner. (B,L)

Day 3 - Lucerne / Interlaken / Grindelwald / Basel / Embark Ship

Embark on a full-day tour of the remarkable Bernese Oberland region, visiting the picturesque towns of Interlaken and Grindelwald. You’ll be surrounded by majestic mountainous landscapes, charming villages and endless outdoor activities as you experience the famous Cliff Walk at First Mountain. Enjoy panoramic views of the famed Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks blanketed in snow and ice. Relish a delicious lunch with a scenic alpine backdrop before embarking the ship in Basel this afternoon.
