After a day at sea in the Drake Passage, we were delighted to return to South America with clear skies and excellent visibility of the legendary Cape Horn. Surrounded by majestic black-browed albatrosses and sooty shearwaters, we turned to the east and successfully completed our journey around the Horn.

Everyone was on deck, basking in the sun and relishing the moment. Countless ships had failed in their attempts to circumnavigate the Horn, but we effortlessly glided along towards the Beagle Channel, savoring our final day aboard National Geographic Endurance and our time with newfound friends.

Captain Oliver invited us to the Ice Lounge for our final evening together, raising a toast to our successful expedition. Afterward, National Geographic Photographer Dan Westergren and photo instructor Fiona shared a slideshow of images compiled from the photographs taken by our guests.
