This was the very first day of our expedition, and it was phenomenal! After breakfast, we took a dip in the Pacific Ocean for the first time. A large group of sea lions greeted us as soon as we arrived at the beach. After donning our snorkeling gear, we embarked on Zodiacs for deep-water snorkeling among playful sea lions, plenty of colorful fish, and sea turtles.
During the afternoon, guests enjoyed a hike to Punta Suarez, one of the crown jewels of the Galapagos. This site is home to the many different species of seabirds that nest here, such as waved albatrosses, Nazca boobies, and blue-footed boobies. We also encountered sea lions, countless lava lizards, and marine iguanas.
This was for sure a day that our guests will never forget!
