Early in the morning, we woke up full of joy on this beautiful and sunny Christmas Day. Some of us started the day with the first glimpse of sunlight and chose to stretch on a white sand beach on Gardner Bay.

After breakfast, we went swimming along the shore of Gardner Bay and photographed a colony of Galapagos sea lions. Some of us went deep-water snorkeling and encountered a couple of playful Galapagos sea lions in the water and a large variety of fish along the vertical walls of the coastline of Gardner Islet.

After lunch, we navigated towards Suarez Point, where we went on a Zodiac tour to look for waved albatrosses and other seabirds. We were lucky to spot several albatrosses flying along the coast and others resting on the surface of the ocean. This is the only island in the Galapagos where waved albatrosses nest. We also spotted a few Pacific green sea turtles mating on the surface of the wavy ocean.

This was an incredible way to enjoy our Christmas Day in the Galapagos. Merry Christmas!
