Today we visited Fernandina Island, our youngest and pristine island. It has only one visitor site and after a dry landing, we walked on lava until we reached an area that was uplifted in 1973. There is an engine block exposed to the sunlight of a boat that sank in the early 1900s. We saw very dark marine iguanas, young sea lions and flightless cormorants. After the visit, we snorkeled with marine turtles and spotted iguanas feeding underwater.

In the afternoon, we visited Punta Vicente Roca with its impressive landscape and had a wine tasting event on the top deck on board the Endeavour as we crossed the equatorial line.
