Today was a truly exceptional day of wildlife and culture. This morning we landed on Vigor Island in northwest Iceland. Here, Arctic terns nest in the hundreds, as do puffins, eider, and guillemots. The only family that resides on the island harvests the eiderdown for commercial purposes.

In the afternoon we repositioned to the town of Ísafjörður where we hiked, explore the town and visited the Arctic Fox Center.
