Today we visited Punta Cormorant on Floreana Island before breakfast, and after a wet landing, we walked inland to see a white sandy beach where a female pacific green turtle was nesting. This event was a treat, as it is unusual for turtles to nest in the daytime when they are vulnerable and exposed. We also spotted several flamingoes in the middle of the lagoon.
After breakfast, we sailed to Champion Islet where we saw several Charles mockingbirds along with many young California sea lions, red-billed tropicbirds, swallow-tailed gulls, shearwaters and noddy terns.
After lunch, we visited Post Office Bay where we swam, snorkeled, kayaked and paddle boarded. It was a full day in paradise.
