Today we awoke at Genovesa Island, one of the jewels of the crown in the Galapagos. This stunning place holds the largest population of birds in the archipelago. Being the favorite of many, this is a perfect place to observe and learn about a variety of marine birds, the different species spotted, and their adaptations. One of the highlights was the red-footed booby. They were perched everywhere, nesting and resting on the vegetation.
The hiking, snorkeling, and kayaking at the caldera in Darwin’s Bay was a unique, once in a lifetime experience. What a great way to end this spectacular expedition than with a wine tasting at sunset!
