It’s nice to be able to sleep in (at least for a little while) on the first morning of an adventure. Today we had the luxury of a later breakfast as we were still at sea in route to our first destination, Honfleur, France. We listened to informative talks by some of our expedition team. And then in the afternoon, we headed into town for a truly wondrous outing. Known for its slate-fronted homes, Honfleur is one of the more picturesque towns on the coast of France and it has inspired the work of Monet and Boudin. Some of us went on a walking tour guided by a local, and others like myself participated in a photo walk lead by our two resident photo experts, still others decided that the best way to enjoy Honfleur was though a little self-exploration. None were disappointed.
