Steve Morello
Steve Morello is a Certified Photo Instructor, professional wildlife photographer and guide with a long career in natural history photography. He is an OM System Ambassador and serves as the Director of Little River Photo Workshops, a nature photography school based in southern Maine.
Raised in New Jersey, Steve spent his summers on Cape Cod, where time exploring tidal pools, dunes and coastal waters fostered an early connection to the natural world. That connection later brought him back to the Cape as a whale researcher and led to his first work guiding and photographing aboard whale-watching vessels in the Gulf of Maine.
Since then, Steve’s work has taken him around the world, documenting wildlife and landscapes across a wide range of environments. His photography has appeared in numerous publications, including National Geographic magazines and books, The New York Times, National Wildlife and the photo collection of the World Wildlife Fund.
In addition to his photography, Steve has written extensively on travel and nature photography. He is the author of The Traveling Nature Photographer, a practical guide for photographers working in the field.
