Day four of our excursion started with a search for whales in Puerto Adolfo Lopez Mateos. Once more, the whales allowed us to spend time with them. We found a few females with calves and observed as they socialized with each other.
In the northernmost part of Bahia Magdalena, we stopped to see a colony of double-crested cormorants that we visit whenever we are in the area.
After lunch and a beautiful sail through the canal back to Puerto San Carlos, the last stop for today was Sand Dollar Beach. Walking back to the ship and crossing the dunes while the sun set was one of the most stunning moments of our voyage.
