Our ships in the far north are just wrapping up their 2024 season, but Arctic landscapes and Alaskan wildlife were among the most spectacular images captured by our field staff this week.

Due to the strong upwelling currents in the area, we sometimes encounter fish that normally live in the depths. Those fish, like this rockfish, are shot up towards the surface, and shortly after, the wildlife come for an easy meal. —Nathan Kelley, Naturalist
