We awoke to a wet morning as National Geographic Quest lowered anchor in the Inian Islands. Guests bundled up for Zodiac tours, seeing Stellar sea lions, sea otters, a humpback whale, and countless birds. After drying off, guests joined Ellie for a presentation on tides, currents, and the intertidal zone.
After lunch, the skies parted and the sun was shining for afternoon operations of kayaking and hiking at Fox Creek. Guests tested their Wellies as they walked through streams and wet meadows in order to immerse themselves in the beautiful, dense Tongass Forest. To finish off our wonderful day, after dinner we had a beautiful show of humpbacks near Point Adolphus with the setting sun.
