Josh Peck

Joshua Peck is a Historian and Naturalist from the Falkland Islands with a long-standing interest in wildlife, remote environments and the human history of the South Atlantic. Growing up in the Falklands, he developed early familiarity with the region’s wildlife, including penguins, seals and whales, and with life in a high-latitude island community.

Josh pursued academic studies in History and Politics in Bristol and London in the United Kingdom before returning to the Falkland Islands to focus on guiding and conservation work. He co-founded a local tour company with two childhood friends, leading nature- and history-focused tours and sharing knowledge of the islands’ landscapes, wildlife and heritage with visitors over multiple seasons.

His work in the region has also included a summer stationed in South Georgia, where he served as a Government Officer and Postman, supporting operations in one of the most remote inhabited locations in the Southern Ocean.

Josh has been involved in conservation projects in the Falkland Islands from an early age and continues to be drawn to work in isolated and wildlife-rich environments. Beyond the South Atlantic, he has traveled and worked in regions including North America, Iceland, Greenland, Zambia, Australia and Poland.

An avid photographer and an international footballer for the Falkland Islands, Josh brings regional insight, field experience and enthusiasm for remote places to his work with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions.
