Marcos Goldin
Marcos Goldin developed an early connection to the outdoors while growing up along Patagonia’s rugged coastline, where time spent scuba diving and sailing fostered a lasting interest in remote environments. His experiences later expanded into the mountains, setting him on a path of exploration across diverse landscapes.
Driven by curiosity about the natural world, Marcos pursued a career in geology, gaining a scientific foundation for understanding Earth’s processes and landscapes. After several years working in the oil industry, he transitioned into mountain guiding, seeking a more direct connection to the environments he studied and a way to share that knowledge in the field.
Marcos’s guiding career has taken him across a range of remote regions. He now divides his time between expeditions in the Arctic, Antarctic and other high-latitude and mountainous environments, bringing both scientific context and practical field experience to his work.
Based in Patagonia, which he now calls home, Marcos spends his time off climbing, skiing and preparing for future expeditions, maintaining a close connection to the landscapes that continue to shape his work.
