Naturalist/Expedition Diver

Jana Diehl

From the moment Jana set foot on this planet, she has been deeply in love with nature. Exploring new landscapes and discovering life beneath the surface have always been part of who she is. There is no horizon that doesn't call her forward, no coastline that doesn't invite her to listen to its stories.

A certified PADI diving instructor with specialized dry-suit training, Jana has spent years exploring the world's oceans and guiding guests through some of its most extraordinary environments. She has led dives between tectonic plates in Iceland, guided orca snorkeling tours in northern Norway, navigated the Patagonian fjords of Chile by sailboat, and managed a dive center and whale-watching operation in the Azores.

Her experience also includes safety diving for documentary films and assisting in marine research projects focused on cetaceans and pelagic fish tagging to better understand migration routes.

What resonates most with guests is Jana's ability to bridge science and storytelling - turning every wildlife encounter into a personal and meaningful experience. When she is not guiding or diving, Jana's adventurous spirit takes her hiking, skiing, camping, paragliding, and photographing the natural world she loves to share.
