Troy Marquez
Born and raised in sunny San Diego, California, he developed a deep love for the ocean and the beach lifestyle early on. That coastal upbringing sparked a lifelong passion for travel and adventure, fueling a personal mission to visit all seven continents by the age of 40—a goal he proudly achieved.
Now based in Denver, Colorado, he’s been to all 50 U.S. states (and not just their airports), and has called several of them home over the years. His global adventures have taken him to 43 countries, including stints living in both New Zealand and the Bahamas.
One of his most remarkable chapters unfolded in Antarctica, where he spent four winters and two summers living on the ice. While there, he led numerous hiking expeditions around the McMurdo Station area, embracing the stark beauty and challenge of the continent. From tropical beaches to frozen frontiers, his journey has been defined by curiosity, exploration, and a deep appreciation for the world’s incredible diversity.
