Day 1 - Depart / Arrival Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to Lima Country Club Hotel, a refreshed historic landmark in fashionable San Isidro. Fully renovated in 2017, this 83-room classic hotel, built in 1927, showcases colonial art in all its rooms and public areas. With all the amenities of a five-star hotel, celebrated public spaces and spacious suites. Additional nights available on request.
Day 2 - Explore Historic Lima
Meet your guide after breakfast to visit the Plaza de Armas and surroundings in the heart of the colonial Lima. In 1988, UNESCO declared the historic center of Lima a World Heritage Site for its high concentration of historic buildings constructed during the Spanish colonial era. Ornate facades line centuries-old streets, adorned with more than 1,600 intricate balconies, palaces and cathedrals begun in 1535 under Francisco Pizarro. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel with the remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Golf is available at the private club at additional cost. Dinner is on your own, to relax in the hotel or to sample Peru's celebrated national cuisine at a nearby restaurant. (B,L)
